Magnesium (Mg) is an important mineral that regulates heart rhythm and blood pressure, keeps bones strong and is used for body functions. It is the 4th most abundant cation in the body. Magnesium is absorbed from the small intestine and excreted through the kidney.
Since the human body cannot produce magnesium mineral itself, this mineral source must be taken by means such as food or drug supplements.
